Kayla Renee Poyner, 22, longtime Cushing resident passed too soon from this life on April 5, 2022. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

Kayla was born September 12, 1999, in Cushing, Oklahoma to proud parents Jeffrey and Nancy (Williams) Poyner.  She was raised in Cushing, graduating from Cushing High School with the Class of 2018.  Kayla was active with the special needs class going bowling and attending multiple Special Olympics.  She enjoyed drawing cartoon characters, was an avid movie watcher, and loved all kinds of music.  Kayla could often be found spending time with and supporting her nieces and nephews. The day before she passed, she went to watch their soccer games.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lonny Roy Poyner, Marilyn Foley, Billy James Williams, and her aunt, Katherine Goforth.

Kayla is survived by her parents, Jeffrey and Nancy; sister, Alicia Dawn Williams and Tyler Doak; brother, Jacob Alan Poyner; nieces and nephews, Waylon Bickell, Eli Deaton, Teagan Williams, Cora Doak, and Lucas Doak; and grandmother, JoAnn Williams.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Cushing, OK.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Cushing, Oklahoma.
