Kevin M.
Williams
February 14, 1964 – June 24, 2025
We come together today to honor the life of Kevin Matthew Williams, a deeply cherished man whose presence enriched the lives of those around him. Born on February 14, 1964, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kevin was a man whose heart and spirit were as vast and welcoming as the Sooner State itself. On June 24, 2025, at the age of 61, Kevin passed away in Tulsa after losing a long fought battle with illness, but he earned his angel wings. He now WALKS with our Lord and Savior.
Kevin grew up in the nurturing arms of his parents, Robert and Darlene Williams, alongside his loving sister and best friend, Shannon Williams.
Kevin attended Yale High School, where he cultivated a love for sports, rock n roll and dirt bikes. His love for dirt bikes brought countless vintage bikes back to life, and the roar of engines and the smell of 2-stroke exhaust put a smile on his face. Kevin's association with the motocross community was not just about the bikes, however, but the bonds forged at the tracks with fellow enthusiasts. Attending rock concerts with his sister was also one of his favorite pastimes.
Kevin was the proud father of his daughter Meagan Simpson and her husband Zach Simpson. The two gave him 6 grandchildren, Aiden, Beau, Drew, Evyn, Charlee and Stevie. He enjoyed attending his grandsons' sporting events whenever he could and always got a kick out of watching his granddaughters' silly dances and flips. He loved to spoil the 6 of them rotten.
An avid supporter of all things related to Sooner sports, Kevin loved attending Sooner football games, an activity that was more than a pastime—it was a tradition. His passion for the sport and his team was infectious, bringing together friends and family in a shared excitement that often extended beyond game days.
Kevin's love for restoring vintage dirt bikes was a testament to his patience and meticulous nature. Each restoration was a labor of love, a pursuit that spoke volumes about his character and his dedication to preserving history. His presence at dirt bike races was a constant, where he would often be found cheering on participants, sharing his extensive knowledge, and forming lifelong friendships.
He leaves behind a family who adores him: his parents, Robert and Darlene Williams; his sister, Shannon Williams; his daughter and son-in-law, Meagan and Zach Simpson; his beloved grandchildren Aiden, Beau, Drew, Evyn, Charlee and Stevie Simpson; and his niece and nephew, Courtney and Matthew Guidry and two uncles; Paul Isbell and Gene Williams. Each of them will carry forward Kevin's legacy of generosity, love, and the beautiful simplicity of being a good person. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Leslie and Gladys Williams, his maternal grandparents Roy and Hazel Isbell, grandson Coleman Paul Simpson and his beloved cousin David Williams.
Today, as we reflect on the life of Kevin Matthew Williams, we celebrate a man who was the epitome of thoughtfulness and love. His immeasurable impact on the lives of others will be felt for generations to come. Kevin's story is not one of an end, but rather a continuing narrative of the values he embodied and the memories he created, which will be forever cherished and never forgotten.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A Celebration of Kevin's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel.
