Sherman Marcialene "Marcy" Jones, longtime Cushing resident, passed from this life on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at her home.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2019 in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Flynn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Marcy was born on July 12, 1943 to Sherman and Goldia (Hargrove) Barnard in Cushing, OK. She grew up in Cushing and attended school at Oak Grove. After finishing school, Marcy married Jimmie Lee Pauley Sr. on January 24th, 1958. She was a hard-working woman, who had jobs at the oil refinery and pipelines. Later she became the manager at a local convenience store, while also helping her husband in his upholstery business. On July 12, 1974, Marcy married Phillip Wayland Jones in Wichita, KS.

In her free time, Marcy lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling and seeing the countryside, especially on her Harley. Marcy loved finding lost treasures, while antique shopping. Marcy's true enjoyment was spending time with her family and watching them grow. As her children grew and left home, Marcy fostered many kids to help them have a better life. Around her family, she was one of the best cooks. Her family never left her house feeling hungry. Marcy also had a big heart for animals, especially cats. Stray animals always had a home and food with Marcy.

Marcy was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Marcy is preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Goldia Barnard, and husband, Phillip Wayland Jones.

Marcy is survived by four loving children: Peggy Linderman and husband, James of Cushing; Jimmie Pauley Jr. of Ripely; Frank Jones of Tulsa; Sherman W. Jones of Ripley; two siblings Connie Moore and husband, Raymond of Cushing, and Maudina Ledbetter of Cushing. Marcy is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
