Maria Jean Hammock, lifelong Olive resident, passed peacefully from this life surrounded by family at her home on April 21, 2023. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Oilton.

Maria was born on March 11, 1933, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to proud parents Marshall and Gladys (Baney) Kirkpatrick. She was raised in Olive and graduated high school there. Maria was married to the love of her life, Roy Hammock on March 28, 1953. Their union was blessed with two rowdy boys who loved her dearly, Randy and Larry. Maria and her family attended multiple Baptist churches in the area through the years. She was always connected to the community through her friends and rarely did anything happen without her knowing. Maria was a gifted artist painting many landscape scenes. She was also a talented flower gardener and absolutely loved her dogs. Her memory will forever be cherished by her children and grandchildren.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband Roy in 1988; as well as by her parents, and two brothers, Tom and Bill Kirkpatrick.

She is survived by her sons, Randy and wife Amy Hammock of Olive, and Larry Hammock of Olive; grandchildren, Michelle Hammock, Andria Hammock and wife Sable Holetzky, Roy Hammock, and Randi Hammock; brothers, Alvin and wife Elizabeth Kirkpatrick of Mannford, OK, Bud and wife Laura Kirkpatrick of Redwood, CA, and Fiber and wife Carlotta Kirkpatrick of Texas, as well as many extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Oilton. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Highland Cemetery in Oilton, with Pastor Larry Calvert officiating.
