Marilyn June Ledgerwood, 82, longtime Cushing resident passed peacefully from this life surrounded by family on January 20, 2023.

Marilyn was born in Yale, Oklahoma on June 30, 1940, to proud parents Art and Nellie Mae (Wallace) Creager. She was raised there and attended school at Yale. In 1956, Marilyn was united in marriage to Frank Ledgerwood, their union was blessed with four children, Frank Edwin Jr., Danny Ray, Stephanie Lynn, and Christopher Stephen. The family made their home in Cushing where they raised their children and Marilyn worked as an LPN and ER Nurse at Cushing Hospital. After many years at the hospital, she began working at Linwood Village Nursing Home as a nurse and worked her way up to becoming an administrator. Marilyn was a woman of strong faith, and was known for her kind, compassionate manner. As most mothers do, she loved her children, but she absolutely adored her grandchildren.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Sr.; her parents; and her sister, Dee Lepert.

She is survived by her children, Frank Ledgerwood Jr. of Cushing, Danny and wife Susan Ledgerwood of Cushing, Stephanie and husband Eric Brandle of Cushing, and Chris and wife Johnna Ledgerwood of Cushing; grandchildren, Greg Ledgerwood, Heather Schreck, Brian Ledgerwood, Renae Pressley, Clinton Hatfield, Celestine Ralston, Trevor Brandle, Tyler Brandle, Franklin Ledgerwood, and Darrion Ledgerwood; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at the Chapel of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing. Interment will follow at Euchee Valley Memorial Park in Cushing.
