Marjorie "Marjie" Melbaline Waltman, longtime Cushing resident passed from this life on Friday, August 23, 2019 in Tulsa, OK with family by her side.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the Big Creek Church of the Brethren in Cushing. Interment will follow at Euchee Valley Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27th from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, August 28th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Marjorie was born on April 20, 1926 to Willie and Ruby (Day) Hand in Prague, OK. She grew up and attended school in Prague. After finishing school, Marjorie met and fell head over heels in love with William Perry Waltman. They were wed on July 26, 1949 in Van Buren, AR, to this union 3 children were born, William Curtis, Jerry Bruce, and Kevin Brent. Marjorie worked many jobs throughout her life, but the one she was best known for was being a Greeter at Walmart.

Marjorie's greatest love in her life was her family, especially her grandkids: Tyler, Tory, Perry, and Megan. She raised her children right and made sure they had everything they every needed. Once she became a grandmother, her heart was full. She loved to spoil them and hug them all the time.

Marjorie was the greatest mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Ruby (Day) Hand; her husband of 59 years, William Perry Waltman; one son, William Curtis Waltman; five siblings, Don Hand, Wade Hand, David Hand, Nadine Williams, Nell Ashcraft.

Marjorie is survived by two children, Kevin Waltman, Jerry Bruce Waltman and wife, Tommye; one sister, Frankie Evans and husband, C.M.; four grandchildren, Tyler Waltman, Tory Waltman, Perry Waltman, Megan Crumpton and husband, Fred; two great grandchildren, Aubrianna Crumpton and Anneliese Crumpton.
