Martha was born August 21, 1939 in Cushing, Oklahoma to proud parents Howard and Dorothy (Morton) Welborn. She grew up in Cushing graduating with the Cushing High School Class of 1958. She married the love of her life Finis "Buck" Fielding on August 21, 1958 to this union Lisa, Kelly and Kerry were born. They moved to Kansas in 1961 where she raised her children and started working at Certainteed until 1978. They moved to Cleveland that year where she worked in Tulsa. They then moved to Lamesa, TX in 1981 where she held various jobs. They then moved to Cleveland in 1992. She enjoyed collecting antiques, selling and keeping her finds. She enjoyed taking Buck, her side kick on drives with him hanging onto the bar. Martha enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. When Martha came to the McPherson Health and Rehab in May 2016, she became a favorite of so many and everyone there loved her. She had a fun loving, outgoing personality and she never met a stranger which Buck didn't always appreciate. She had her feisty sassy side as well as the caring, compassionate one too. She was "grandma mae" to begin with but then Karissa came along and then she became "Mammie". She loved the loud and fast classic cars/pickups. She'd always want them to "rack em off". So rack em off mammie… we're all gonna miss you.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Unruh and husband Bill of Canton, KS, Kelly Fielding LaMesa, TX. and Kerry Fielding and wife Alesia of Ramona, OK; grandchildren Shane Unruh, Stacey Unruh, Shandra Unruh, Samuel Unruh, Karissa Childress, Kara Hallowell, Kristen Mills, Klayton Fielding, Kenzie Fielding, Kyle Fielding, Kenton Fielding, Kevin Fielding and Arika Fielding, grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents, step-father Jim Mitchell, and husband, Buck.
Memorials may be made in Martha's name to the McPherson Health and Rehab, 1601 N. Main, McPherson, KS.
