Martha Ann Petitt, 69, longtime Yale resident passed from this life on September 24, 2022, at her home.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale.

Martha was born on November 11, 1952, to parents Everett and Zella (Kizer) Dennis in Drumright, Oklahoma.  She was raised and attended school in Yale, Oklahoma.  Martha would later marry Roger Petitt and together they had two children, Marcee and Justin. The family made their home in Yale where Martha worked for many years as a cook both owning her own café and cooking at the Dairy Hut. Above all, Martha loved her family and would do anything for them. She will forever be affectionately remembered for her stubbornness.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Alice Mitchell; and one brother, George Dennis.

Martha is survived by her children, Marcee and Justin Doty of Yale, and Justin and Victoria Petitt of Yale; one sister, Sarah Jan Petitt of Yale; grandchildren, Alex Turner and fiancé Blake Thompson of Cushing; Gaige Doty of Yale, Treytin Petitt of Yale, Dale Coffman of Yale, Payton Petitt of Yale, and Zella Pettit of Yale; great-granddaughter, Ara Thompson; also a very close friend and live in companion William Bert Wise; and a host of extended family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at the Chapel of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, 800 S. Linwood Ave. Cushing, OK 74023.
