Marvin Eugene Haydock passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on October 10, 1943, in Cushing, Oklahoma, Marvin's life was a testament to his enduring kindness, creativity, and dedication to his loved ones.
Marvin graduated from Cushing High School in 1961, where he formed lifelong friendships and a foundation for his future endeavors. His career began with building storm cellars, a vital service to his community. His hardworking nature and leadership skills soon led him to the construction industry, where he excelled and eventually became a respected supervisor.
Marvin's talents extended beyond his professional life. He was a gifted artist who found joy in painting and woodworking. His passion for creating beautiful stained glass cutouts and handcrafted jewelry, including crosses, angels, and crowns of thorns, brought beauty into the lives of those around him. Marvin's creative spirit was a beacon of inspiration to his family and friends.
A devout member of the Cushing First Assembly of God, Marvin's faith was a cornerstone of his life. His involvement in the church community reflected his generous and selfless nature, always willing to lend a hand or a listening ear to anyone in need.
Those who knew Marvin would describe him as generous, selfless, and incredibly handy. His ability to fix or create almost anything was matched only by his willingness to do so for anyone in need.
