Mary Oleta
Newman
April 22, 1951 – November 2, 2024
Mary Oleta Newman, a beacon of love and creativity, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024, in Yale, Oklahoma, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 22, 1951, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Mary's life was a testament to the power of faith, the joy of creativity, and the boundless capacity to love.
Mary's journey on this earth was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family. She was a cherished partner to her late husband, Kenneth Newman, and a nurturing mother to her five children: Elizabeth, Kenneth, Matt, April, and Rickae. Mary's love extended to her grandchildren—Jordan, Taylor, Alexis, Kenneth III, Kyle, Damon, Shelby, Gage, Nathan, Brady, Austin, Caden—and her great-grandchildren Maddix, Mary, Katy, Gavin, and Micah —with a special remembrance for her late grandson, Cody. Her family was her masterpiece, each member a vibrant thread woven into the rich tapestry of her life.
Mary's creative spirit shone brightly in everything she touched. She had a magical ability to transform simple materials into extraordinary works of art, from cozy blankets to whimsical Halloween costumes that delighted not only her own children but many in the community. Her hands were rarely still, as she poured her heart into crafting treasures that would become cherished keepsakes, symbols of her love and talent.
To know Mary was to experience the warmth of her presence. She was a mother not only to her own children but to their friends and anyone in need of care. Her home was a haven, her arms always open. She believed that love was not just a feeling but an action, a commitment to support and uplift those around her. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's challenges and inspiring those who were blessed to know her.
Mary's legacy is one of inspiration. She taught us that creativity is not just about the end product but the love and intention we put into our work. She showed us that faith is a source of strength, a light that never dims, even in the darkest of times. In Mary's life, we see a masterclass in love—unconditional, enduring, transformative.
As a motivational speaker inspires others to reach for their best selves, Mary's life serves as a call to action. She challenges us to love deeply, to create joyfully, and to live our faith with conviction. Mary's memory is a guiding star, urging us to embrace the beauty of life, to care for one another, and to leave the world more vibrant and loving than we found it.
In celebrating Mary Oleta Newman, let us honor her by embodying the values she lived by. Let us be loving in our actions, faith-filled in our hearts, and creative in our endeavors. Her spirit lives on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the comfort of the blankets she made, and the countless lives she touched with her generosity and warmth.
Mary's journey was one of purpose and passion, a reminder that each day is an opportunity to make a difference, to nurture the bonds of family, and to contribute beauty to the world. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, let us carry forward the light she has instilled in us, shining brightly for generations to come.
Mary Oleta Newman's story does not end here. It is etched in the lives of those she loved, a narrative of love and legacy that will continue to inspire.
