Mary Jane Reid passed from this life on January 24, 2023, at the age of 85. Mary was born on May 18, 1937, to Lewis and Frances (McKinney) Taylor in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  At the age of 17, Mary married the love of her life, Cecil Reid on September 15, 1954, and spent 63 years together.  Cecil's work took him many places and Mary faithfully followed her husband wherever he went.  Mary was a true helpmate, especially when her husband Cecil began his work as a pastor for various Baptist churches.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, spending as much time with her family as possible.  Her favorite times were watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren's activities like baseball, basketball, cheerleading, horseback riding, and karate.  She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Perkins, Oklahoma and dedicated her life to the service of her Lord.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cecil Reid, brother Edward Taylor and two great grandchildren, Brooklyn Custar and Sam Tippery.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Custar and husband Rickey, and Suzan Green and husband Rick; six grandchildren, Melinda Opela and husband Junior, Justin Marszalek and wife Mandy, Heather Tippery and husband David, Ashley Beckering and husband Brandon, Daniel Custar and wife Angie, and Matthew Davies and wife Crista; seventeen great grandchildren, Natalie, Avery and Penelope Opela, Chase, Paige and Bailey Marszalek,  Lyllieanne, Luke, Rosalie, Daniel and Gideon Tippery, Payton and Cruz Beckering, Trynity and Kash Davies, and Owen and Emerson Custar; and one brother Carl Taylor and wife Ina.

Burial service will be at 10:15AM at Perkins Cemetery with a memorial service that follows at 11:00AM at the First Baptist Church in Perkins, Oklahoma.
