Montana and Cortez, Colorado; graduating from Montezuma County High in Cortez where he was an All-State athlete and met his future wife, Carolyn Gosnell. Some of his favorite hobbies included listening to music and dancing with Carolyn. They were excellent 'jitter-buggers'; participating in a 50's-style dance competition in San Francisco. Alfred was an avid reader and loved to travel. His fishing trips to Alaska with his brother, Fred, were very memorable. Alfred was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 2006, he and Carolyn served an 18-month church mission in Ukraine.
Alfred was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly missed.
