Nadine Arlene McFadden, age 80, of Cushing, OK, passed away on August 5, 2024 at her home with her family by her side.

Nadine Arlene (Byers) Smith, McFadden was born July 6, 1944 to Ted Earl and Fay (Kanady) Byers in Agra, Oklahoma.

Nadine A. McFadden was a longtime Cushing resident. She was a Graduate of Cushing High School. She worked 20 years for Escotts Grocery Store. She took on a new adventure and was the first training class for Avis Rental Car Call Center, Drumright, OK. until they closed down that location. She was employed by the City of Cushing. She worked at Cushing Senior Citizen Center from July 2009 until she retired March 2023.

Her life bloomed in a radiantly purposeful reflection of grace, kindness, and servant heart. She faithfully served her savior, Jesus Christ, as was fueled by his love in her gift to gently & encouragingly touching lives of others. She was baptized into the Church of the Firstborn at an early age by Brother Elby Herring. Her life was beautifully expressed in humbleness, quietness, and by her Fathers' hope. She was always driven by her passion to help others and lift each one with a warm loving embrace of comfort. Simple and sweet, she will be greatly and tenderly missed.

She was preceded in death by one daughter Lisa Smith, her parent's and all 4 older sisters, Dorthy Rhodes, Lilia Percell, Alfreda Tibbett and LaQuita Ishmael Dahlke, one grandson Kyle Micheal Harrison and many more beloved family members.

Nadine leaves behind two daughters, Laurie Harrison and husband Rodney Linda Lee, grandchildren Joshua Harrison and wife Allison, Jaiden Lee.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024 in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment at Parkland Cemetery will be immediately following.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
