Nancy Charlene Durbin, 92, of Agra Oklahoma, went home to be with Jesus on July 28, 2026.
She was born on November 14, 1933 in Ashley IL to Tony and Charlotte Fortag. Her mother remarried William Fairchild who then adopted her at age 8. She graduated from Ashley High School in Ashley IL. She married her first husband, Thomas Lester Reoh and had three amazing sons, Tom, Tim, and Troy. She then met, fell in love with, and married her soulmate Jerry Durbin on July 20, 1970. She had many occupations and owned several businesses with her husband Jerry. She worked as a switchboard operator at a telephone company and was a dental hygienist as well. She worked at Tryon School, helped load trucks for Feed the Children and had a street ministry in Oklahoma City for 5 years with her husband. She did many things but was most passionate about her work with fostering and special needs children. She participated in Special Olympics and was a recipient of the Diana Award in 2001-2002. She loved crafting and entered projects in the Lincoln Co. Fair for 30 years, winning several ribbons. She was a long-time member of the Tryon Assembly of God church in Tryon Ok.
She is preceded in death by husband Jerry Durbin, foster daughter April Shepherd, great-granddaughter Alyse Durbin, parents, half-brother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and lots more.
She is survived by son Thomas Reoh and wife Theresa (Yogi), son Timothy Durbin and wife Jamie, son Troy Durbin and wife Dana, daughter Destiny Durbin, sister Debbie Abbott and husband Ron, brother David, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She leaves a large family behind and her last request for them would be to know Jesus in their hearts.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 1, 2026, 10 a.m. at Tryon Assembly of God. Burial will follow at Tryon Cemetery.
