Patricia Ann Cheney (Hallengren) of Cushing, Oklahoma peacefully passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026.

She was born on the first day of spring in 1936 to Harold Howard Hallengren and Doris Eileen Barlow. She is survived by her sister, Mary Lou, and was preceded in death by her sisters, Donna Marie and Judy Kay.

As a military wife to Wallace Augustus Cheney, she traveled from base to base, including time in her beloved Germany, where three of her children were born. In just ten years, she welcomed seven children into the world: David Bruce (deceased). Michael Harold, Peggy Ann, Dennis Wesley, Suzann Eileen, Terrell Allan and Nina Marie.

She leaves behind a large and extended family, including 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

At age 37, she pursued and earned her Registered Nurse license, beginning a career that spanned more than 30 years. She took pride in her work and was remembered by many patients as a steady presence and a bright light during difficult times.

May she rest in peace with our Lord and Savior. She will be missed, but soon we will all be reunited.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.  A private family service will be held at at later date.
