Obituary

Paul Bell, longtime Cushing resident, passed from this life on Saturday, January 22, 2022 with family by his side at the age of 90.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Avery Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Paul Bell was born on March 18, 1931, to Mayme (Mitchell) and Roland Bell in Prague, OK. He grew up and attended in school in Cushing, graduating from Cushing High School in 1949. After completing high school, Paul attended seminary school at Phillips University, as he wanted to become a minister. Before finishing, Paul joined the United States Air Force and proudly served during the Korean War. He served for four years, before he was honorably discharged.
When Paul returned, he met and married the love of his life, Naomi "Ruth" Burden. They married on November 4, 1953, in Cushing and had one son, Paul Eugene Bell. Paul was very active in his family's life and made sure they had everything they ever needed. Paul spent 53 loving years with Ruth before her passing in 2006. Later Paul married Sandra K. Edens of Sperry, OK.
Paul went back to school and finished his bachelor's degree from the University of Tulsa. He worked as a computer programmer for multiple oil companies around the Tulsa area. Later he worked in the new data processing department of the Central Tech. He worked at Central Tech for 16+ years, before retiring. For many years, he was an active minister for the Gospel Assembly Church in Cushing, OK. He truly was God's servant.
In his free time, Paul was active in wood working and crafts. He and Ruth would spend time making crafts and attending craft shows across Oklahoma. Paul was also fascinated with painting. He would spend hours painting pictures for all his family to enjoy. Paul was an active member of the American Legion Post #108 and spent time with other veterans. In the last few years, Paul stayed with his son and helped him around the house and farm. He was always wanting and willing to help as best he could.
Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all.
Paul is survived by his son, Paul Bell and wife, Terri of Cushing; three grandchildren, Brina Boyle and fiancé, Kevin Tate of Cushing, Paul "Eddie" Bell and significant other, Jason of Forney, TX, Andrea Manion and husband, Jason of Cushing; eight great grandchildren, Braden Boyle and wife, Tennesse, Jolie Boyle, Trenton Manion, Makota Manion, Vincent Bell, Kaliana Bell, Michael Bell, Georgio Bell; great-great grandchild, Beau Boyle; three siblings, Leroy Bell and wife, Pat of Dripping Springs, TX, Mary Sue Bradley of Mesa, AZ, Charles Bell and wife, Janette of Edmond. Paul is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many more relatives and friends.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Mayme and Roland Bell; both wives, Naomi "Ruth" Bell and Sandra K. Bell; one infant sister, Kathy Bell; one brother-in-law, Lester Eugene "Buster" Bradley.
