Obituary

Today, we honor the life of Paul Isbell, a gentle and kind man whose presence enriched the lives of those around him, Born to Roy and Hazel Isbell on February 14, 1951, in Cushing, Oklahoma. Paul had a heart of gold and a passion for basketball and classic rock & roll music.

On April 2, 2026, at the age of 75, Paul passed away in Canton, Texas attending 1st Monday Trade Days. He was loved by his family and the 1st Monday family. Paul was part of the 1st Monday Trade Days family for 23 years. He is now in the arms of our Lord and Savior. He regularly attended Cushing Christian Church with his sister, Darlene, and brother-in-law, Bob Williams.

Paul grew up in Yale, Oklahoma with a passion for basketball. He was point guard for the Starting Five Yale High School Boys Basketball Team. His team was runner up champions at the State of Oklahoma basketball tournament.

After graduation from Yale High School, he attended OSU and Ozark Bible College.

Paul managed several record music companies in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Then making Dallas, Texas his home, he continued in the sales of vinyl records becoming a vinyl broker. He was a regular vendor at Tulsa Fair Grounds monthly sales and a regular monthly vendor at Canton 1st Monday Trade Days in Canton, Texas. Anyone, that knew Paul, shared his love of music.

Paul leaves behind his sister Darlene Williams who adored him, brother-in-law Bob Williams; niece Shannon Williams; great nieces Courtney Guidry, Meagan and Zach Simpson; great nephew Matthew Guidry and wife Brook, Bentley and Hunter Guidry, Aiden, Beau and Drew Simpson; great nieces Evyn, Charlie Ann, and Stevie Simpson; friends Karen Silvermintz and Anne Dillard. Each will remember his kindness, love and being a good person.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Bill and Ellen Isbell, Frank & Clara Lindeberg; his parents Roy & Hazel Isbell; nephew Kevin Williams.

We celebrate the life of Paul Isbell, a kind, thoughtful and loving man leaving an impact on the lives of us all. He will not be forgotten but cherished and now continues with the Lord Jesus.

The family will be holding a Celebration of Paul's life on Saturday April 25, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cushing Christian Church with Pastor Jim Forrest officiating.
