Paul Emerson Moody, a longtime Yale resident, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Shawn Manor Nursing Home in Ponca City at the age of 68. No services are planned at this time.
Paul was born on July 13, 1952 in Mooreland, Oklahoma to the late Verlin and Dixie (Morris) Moody. He grew up in Mooreland and in 1964, moved with his family to Yale/Drumright area. Paul graduated from Yale High School in 1971 and then attended college for a couple of years at OSU. He married Laura Ross and to this union Paula and Robert were born. He joined the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam Era. Paul later married the love of his life Neoma Thurman and to this union, Dale was born and he gained a bonus daughter Belinda Whiting. Paul and Neoma are members of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Yale. They enjoyed living history and helping and serving in the Civil War Re-enactments. Paul enjoyed fishing with Robert.
Paul is survived by his wife Neoma of the home, children Paula Evans and husband Jeremy, Robert Moody and wife Hannah, Dale Moody and wife Raelene, Belinda Whiting and husband Eugene, grandchildren Carson, Wesley and Bennett Moody, Emma, Michael, Christopher and Matthew Moody, Nathaniel and wife Christina Swagger, Jonathon and wife Olivia Swagger, Kailyn Basham and Blake, seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Elaine Moody and Mary Adams.
