Rachel Irene Leeman passed peacefully from this life on August 14, 2021, at her home in Moore, Oklahoma.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.

She was born on April 12, 1952, to parents Henry Edgar and Ocie Ellen (Jacobs) Leeman in Noblesville, Indiana. After the death of her mother, Rachel's father married Lola Lou and she became her stepmother. Rachel was the ninth of 16 children.  On August 24 ^th , 1964, Rachel was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn by Bro. Charlie McPherson in Elwood, Indiana at the age of 12. She graduated in 1970 sixth in her class of 160. She was a member of the Top 10% and National Honor Society.  Following graduation she commuted to Anderson, Indian where she worked for the Social Security Administration as a Manager of Payroll Employees for over 20 years.  She then transferred to Moore, Oklahoma where she would retire in December of 1997.  Rachel lived in Oklahoma since 1991; buying her home in 1995 where she would live until her final days.

Rachel was a very experienced road warrior and traveled to every state in the U.S. except Hawaii. Her baby sister Jody was on her trip to Alaska, most of New England and the eastern states.  Rachel even traveled to Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.  She enjoyed drawing, painting, sewing, and quilting.  She sang soprano with several different gospel groups and always enjoyed singing with the brethren.

Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, David and wife Gail Leeman, Betty and husband Jack Baker, Lettie Martin, Henrietta Leeman, Phillip Leeman, and Sally Leeman.

She is survived by her brother, Lawrence and wife Deloris Leeman, brother Basil and wife Beverly Leeman, sister, Sandra and husband Carle Webb, brother, Joe and wife Brenda Leeman, brother, Paul and wife Laura Leeman, brother, Charles and wife Nancy Leeman, brother-in-law Gary Martin, sister, and JoAnne Leeman; 34 nieces and nephews, many great and great-great nieces, and nephews, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the Church of the Firstborn in Parkland, Oklahoma.  Visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Parkland Cemetery.
