Randall Louis
Wright
October 4, 1956 – October 10, 2022
Randall Louis Wright passed from this life on October 10, 2022, in his home with his family by his side. His care has been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, OK.
Randall was born on October 4, 1956, to Louis and Myrtle (Greenfield) Wright. He was the baby of four children and took on that role proudly. Being the baby of the family and the only boy at the time, Randall was a bit spoiled by his mother and sisters, not having to make his own bed, get his own breakfast and there was even question whether he had to put his own toothpaste on the brush. Even with all that spoiling, Randall was a kind-hearted and caring boy who grew into a loving man. He went to school in Chandler where he graduated in 1974. He attended OSU Tech in Okmulgee, graduating in 1976 with a degree in HVAC.
Randall worked as a lab technician and engineer for York / Johnson Controls, retiring after 38 years of service.
Randall was devoted to his Lord and was baptized by his dad on July 5th, 1972. Randall found the love of his life in Gayle Coleman and was married on May 31, 1975. To their union were born two beautiful daughters, Courtney and Brittanie. Randall thoroughly loved his family and was diligent to bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, or as Courtney would say, "he was strict."
In 2005, Randall was ordained as an elder at Parkland church along with Bro Richard Wright. All the days of his life, he remained faithful to his Lord. He dealt with many different afflictions in his life but never complained. He quietly suffered with the Lord being his stay. In 2015, Randall suffered a stroke which took away his ability to communicate the way he wanted to. However, it never took away the love that he had for his family…or his love for eating! If you ever came to visit Randall, you knew not to mention pudding or yogurt, or you would end up feeding him a cup or three.
Randall will be remembered for his handsome and distinguished look, his desire to look and smell fresh, his endearing name for his wife, "Dear", the nickname for his sons-in-law "Yay-Hoos", him working the cows, setting bones when the brethren needed help, his work on the Parkland Cemetery Board, and the care and compassion he had toward all.
Randall was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Gayle, his daughter Brittanie, his sister Trela and brother Lannie.
He is survived by his daughter Courtney Herrmann and her husband Kyle, son-in-law Jarrod Molloy and his grandchildren Mackenzie and husband Dason, Kennedy, Paisley, Kanton and Cooper, his sister Janice Sweet and husband Mick, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, relatives and brethren.
Visitation is scheduled for 3-8 Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, OK with the family present from 6-8. Funeral services will be at Parkland General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn at 10AM on Thursday, October 13, 2022, with interment at Parkland Cemetery immediately following.
