Richard Dean Ross, better known as Rickey, passed from this life on August 24, 2023, at his home in Yale, Oklahoma.

Rickey was born on March 10, 1950, to parents Levi and Ina (Bartlett) Ross in Yale, Oklahoma.  He was the ninth of ten children.  Being one of the youngest siblings, Rickey was able to learn much at a young age.  Those life lessons stayed with him through his whole life.

Rickey made Yale, Oklahoma, his home his entire life.  He loved the country life spending as much time fishing, noodling and coon hunting as he could.  Rickey also loved his grandchildren and his nieces and nephews, loving to entertain them with his funny stories and crazy hunting trips.  Rickey was also known to have an occasional beer…or two…or five. Most of all, Rickey loved his family and enjoyed every moment he spent with them.

Rickey is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wayne Ross, Carl Ross and Gale Leon Ross; sisters, Evelyn Raper and Carol Youtsey; along with recent nieces and nephews that have gone on before him.

Rickey is survived by his two daughters Reanna Estrada and husband Nelson, Michelle Cooksey and husband Danny and his "bonus" daughter Tiffany Weindel; sisters Betty Smith, Janice David, Glenda Robinson and Diane Rusco; grandchildren, Athena Weindel, Mara-lee King, Jared Bradford and Jaylynn Hessman along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who Rickey loved.

A visitation will be held at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma, from 9AM - 12PM on Monday, August 28, 2023, followed by graveside services at Lawson Cemetery in Yale, Oklahoma, at 2PM on Monday, August 28, 2023.
