Richard Leroy Hart, known affectionately as Rick to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on August 14, 1956, in Yale, Oklahoma, Rick's life was a testament to the strength of family bonds, the joy of the outdoors, and the value of a life well-lived.

Rick's early years in Yale were filled with the kind of small-town experiences that shape a person's character. He graduated from Yale High School and soon after found his calling as an industrial x-ray technician. He married the love of his life, Sherry Doll on February 21st, 1981.

The true cornerstone of Rick's life was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry, with whom he built a life full of laughter and mutual support. Together, they raised two daughters, Rachel of Drumright and Rebecca of Mannford, both of whom were his pride and joy.  Rick's role as a grandfather was one he cherished deeply, delighting in the antics and growth of his grandsons Joseph, Braxton, Deacon, and Landyn, and his granddaughters Trinity and Memphis.

An avid outdoorsman, Rick found solace and joy in hunting and fishing. Beyond his love for the outdoors, Rick's greatest pleasure was spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Whether he was telling jokes, playing games, or simply being present, Rick's gentle spirit made every moment special.

Those who knew Rick would describe him as loving, funny, and gentle. His laughter was contagious, his heart kind, and his presence calming. Rick's legacy is not only in the work he accomplished or the pastimes he enjoyed, but in the way that he cared deeply for his family above all other things.

As we say goodbye to Rick, we also celebrate the life he led and the memories he leaves behind. A life that touched so many others, a journey marked by joy, love, and an unending commitment to his family. Richard Leroy Hart will be deeply missed, but the warmth of his spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents Bobby Leroy and Estella Colleen Hart and a sister Debi Reece.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.  The family will be holding a celebration of Rick's life at a later date.
