Robert Amos Aldridge passed from this life at the age of 81 on November 17, 2023 due to kidney failure. His care has been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma.

Robert was born on September 23, 1942, to Amos M. and Lillie May (Harris) Aldridge in Lanton, Missouri.

In 1963, Robert married Dorothy Juanita Pollard.  They were together for 60 years.  They moved to Ripley, Oklahoma in January 1975.  They had three children, Robbie, James and Glenda.  He worked several jobs over the years such as truck driver for North American Van Lines, operated a trash service, took care of utilities in Ripley and retired from Mercury Marine in Stillwater.   Robert enjoyed his hobby of collecting classic cars.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy Aldridge and his sister Glynnis.

He is survived by his children, Robbie Aldridge and wife Michelle, James Aldridge and wife Diana, and Glenda Darkis and husband Eric.  Also fourteen grandchildren, Matthew, Nathan, Zoey and Mika Aldridge and Qorban, Caleb, Lilliana, Christopher, Sarah, Malachi, Ryan, David, Isabella and Jonathan Darkis and several great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by a brother Charles Aldridge.
