Rosia Lee Shanklin-McKinney was born to Walter Lee Shanklin and Virginia Lee Garrett in Wichita, Kansas on January 21, 1969, and passed away on April 25, 2023.  Rosia was a dedicated wife, a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and aunt.

Rosia was very positive, upbeat and 'life of the party' individual.  Her beauty shined from within and illuminated on the outside. She was such a kind, giving spirit, doing what she could for others.  She was a talented artist as well as an athlete and mechanic.  Most of all, she was the best mom and nana anyone could ask for.

Rosia is preceded in death by her father Walter Lee Shanklin Sr.; sister, Cassandra Shanklin; brother, James Shanklin; brothers-in-law, Marland McKinney Jr. and Keith McKinney Sr.; sisters-in-law, Maxine Tucker, Nadine Henderson, Inetta Liggins and Eva McKinney.

She is survived by her husband Martinez McKinney, her children, and her mother.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.  A visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The family will be holding a Celebration of Rosia's Life at Mt. Olive Baptist Church on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
