Roy William Dardenne, age 87 of Cleveland, passed away on November 13, 2012 at the Green Tree Assisted Living Center in Sand Springs. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2012 at Highland Cemetery, Oilton, Oklahoma. Pastor Robert Martino will officiate.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Oilton, Oklahoma.


Roy was born on October 14, 1925 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late William W. and Emma Dardenne. Roy grew up in the Tulsa/Broken Arrow area. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII. Roy married the love of his life, Twyla Creekmore on June 25, 1957 in Houston, Texas. They made their home in Anaheim, California. He worked as a Boilermaker for many years. After retiring from the Boilermaker's, he began his own trucking company, Dardenne Trucking. They retired and lived in numerous places like Henderson, Nv, Drumright, Ok, Chandler, Tx and Fairfax, Mn before moving back to the Cleveland, Ok area. Twyla passed away September 30, 2005. Roy was very proud of his yard, and enjoyed riding his lawn mower often, also enjoyed visiting with friends and driving to the lake.



Roy is survived by his three children, his brother, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.


He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, daughter and his sister.
