Roy D.
Mccall
September 20, 1974 – May 12, 2025
Roy Dale McCall, a cherished husband, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, in his hometown of Bristow, Oklahoma, at the age of 50. Born on September 20, 1974, to Betty and the late Lonnie McCall, Roy's life was a testament to the joy and laughter he brought to those around him.
Roy grew up in Bristow, where he formed lifelong friendships and graduated from Bristow High School in 1993. His educational journey laid the foundation for a successful career in the oilfield, where he worked in various capacities, including as a rig hand and an x-ray technician.
A man of many interests, Roy was happiest when surrounded by nature, whether he was casting a line into a pond or tracking a panther. His love for NASCAR was only matched by the thrill of sharing the excitement with his friends and family. Roy's sense of humor, creativity, and generosity were the cornerstones of his personality, making every gathering brighter and every challenge more manageable.
Roy's life was enriched by his loving family. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Julie McCall, who was his partner in every adventure and his comfort in every storm. His mother, Betty McCall, will miss the warmth of her son's presence, as will his brother, Brian McCall, and his wife, Candy. Roy's mother-in-law, Wanda Stafford, brother-in-law, Cully Stafford, and his wife, Angela, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives, will forever cherish the memories they created together.
Preceding him in death were his father, Lonnie McCall, and father-in-law, Jim Stafford, as well as his paternal and maternal grandparents. Roy's spirit will be a guiding light for his loved ones as they navigate life without his physical presence.
Roy's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and the occasional mischievous twinkle in his eye. He was the kind of man who made friends easily and kept them for life. His absence will be deeply felt at family gatherings, on fishing trips, and in the stands of every NASCAR race.
As we say goodbye to Roy Dale McCall, we celebrate the joy he brought into our lives. His legacy will live on in the stories we share, the kindness we extend to others, and the love we hold in our hearts. Roy's journey on earth has ended, but his story will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Roy, thank you for the laughter, the adventures, and the love. You may have left this world, but you will never leave our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Roy, until we meet again.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A Celebration of Roy's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on June 27, 2025, at Bristow Lake. Friends are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and fishing poles.
