Ryan is survived by his wife, Betsy (Watson) Posey, of the home; his daughter, Ally Sue Posey, of the home; daughters Rachel Cho Failing and Autumn Ryan Posey of Ponca City; granddaughter Emery May Duncan of Ponca City; Mother Betty (John) Davis of Edmond; Father Greg Posey of Ponca City; Grandparents Walter and Frankie Posey of Oilton; Aunt Peggy (Willie) Huerta of Crescent; Aunt Betty Hicks of Rocky Point, New York; Uncle Matt (Tammy) Posey of Drumright; Aunt Linda Myers of St. Louis; "Brother" Jonas (Angie) Myers of St. Louis; "Sister" Kim Holman of Tulsa; Faithful Fur companions Ariel Sue and Colonel Man, of the home, and many cousins and many, many friends.

He was preceded to Glory by Grandparents Jim and Peggy Davis; Mother-in-Law Darlene Watson; Step Mom Sarah Posey.

Ryan spent his early childhood in Yale, and many days fishing with his best buddies, Grandpa Jim and Pat Dykes on any creek or pond within a 20-mile radius.  No pond was too small!

He graduated from Ponca City High School in 1993, where he enjoyed a successful basketball career throughout high school, and attended Northern Oklahoma Junior College with the intention of becoming a meteorologist.

Born during a snowstorm on a Wednesday morning before Thanksgiving, Ryan developed a life-long love of all things weather related, and was renowned for his detailed weather information to his FB followers.  He had a particular knowledge and fascination of tornadoes, and living in Oklahoma, his curiosity was satisfied more often than needed.

Having 2 beautiful daughters from a former spouse, Rachel and Autumn, he met and married the love of his life, Betsy (Watson) Posey in Eureka Springs on October 14, 2000, and eventually made their home in Cushing, Oklahoma with their daughter Ally, where he resided until his moving to Glory with his savior, Jesus Christ.

In addition to Jesus, weather and fishing, Ryan loved sports:  in particular, OU sports. His knowledge of history and trivia on the subject was unmatched. He possessed an extraordinary sense of humor, was quick-witted, loved food and was a great cook.  Traveling was a passion, whether to the mountains, the beach, or the Great Salt Plains in Oklahoma to dig for salt crystals. And he loved cars, vintage, sports, or race, frequently posting pictures of his favorites.  His friends all knew of his great sense of humor, except when it came to OU…no jokes about OU!

He was a big teddy bear, loving and gentle to his pets and children, always smiling, and fought to the bitter end to beat his enemy:  Cancer. He said the battle was a win/win:  either he'd get healed to finish his work on earth, or he'd be set free to spend eternity with Jesus and his family.  He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and joy, and will be remembered and missed for his remarkable mind, wit and memory, hence the professions of banking, sales and accounting.  We were all so blessed to have known him, and we thank the Lord for his precious life!
