Samuel Lee Dennis "Sambo", a longtime Yale resident, passed away on Saturday February 22, 2020 in Oklahoma City surrounded by family at the age of 57. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Yale Assembly of God Church. Rev. Mike Clark will officiate. Interment will follow at Underwood Cemetery, Yale, Ok.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale, OK.

Sam was born on May 30, 1962 in Yale, Oklahoma to Harry and Beverly (Berry) Dennis. Sam grew up and attended school in Yale, a third generation of the Dennis family. As a young adult, he became a dad to his three daughter's Shauna, Denise and Erin. He married Debbie Browning and shared 35 years and became a dad to Tiffany and Jesse. Sam was very proud that he finally got his son. He worked throughout his life at Oklahoma Oil Well Cementers, as Manager of the Sanitation Department for the City of Stillwater and always his passion was pumping oil wells. Sam enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, and having a cold one with his buddies. He loved to make everyone laugh and entertain the crowds. His children and grandchildren were the highlights of his life, loving each of them with all he had.
He will be missed by his children, grandchildren, siblings and many friends.
Sam is survived by his children Shauna Dennis and Jeremy of Yale, Denise Dennis and Zac of Yale, Erin Baker and Jeff of Glencoe, Tiffany Dennis and Mark of Oilton, Jesse Dennis of Yale, brothers and sister Ed Dennis and Katy, Mike Wheeler and Susan, Sheryl Jones and John, Floyd Dennis, Harry Dennis III, Tom Dennis and Katherine. Grandchildren Girdy, Pork Chop, Abe, Possum, Lugnut, Boogs, Jaelin, Coy, Baby Libby, Tom Cat, Makenzi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sister, Claude Dennis, Hobert Dennis and Maedean Myers, and lifelong friend Steve Humble.
