Sandra "Sandy" Kaye Colston age 66, entered into her eternal life on Sunday July 28th, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones after a year long battle with cancer. Sandy was born May 29th, 1953 in Healdton, OK. She was one of four children born to Curtis and Grace Hanna (Cooper).

Sandy was raised and educated in Cushing Oklahoma. In 1984 she received her LPN license from Central Tech in Drumright. Later, Sandy graduated with honors from UCO with a Bachelors of Science and a Minor in Psychology.

Sandy was united in marriage to Robert "Bobby" Simpson, to this union one daughter, Karissa, was born.
She later married Monroe Colston and to this union two sons, Boe and Mark, were born.

In 2004 Sandy moved home to Cushing and lived out the rest of her life to the fullest.

Sandy was a very unique person in so many ways. She loved her family unconditionally. Through all of life struggles her faith never waivered. She loved and trusted the Lord in every aspect of her life. She had a true servants heart and was always looking for ways to help others.

Sandy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, crocheting, sewing, and always looked for any opportunity to be "Sparkles the Clown". She was always upbeat, positive, and had a smile for everyone. She was always rooting for the underdog. There are no words to adequately describe what an amazing person she was. She was funny, happy, witty, silly, caring, and above all loving. She was always putting others before herself. She was upbeat, positive and had a smile or encouraging word for everyone. There are no words to express how much she will be missed. She was a loving Mother, Nana, Sister, and friend to so many.

Survivors of this special lady include her children Karissa Nugent (Randy) of Cushing, Ok., Boe Colston (Leesa) of Bridge Creek, OK and Mark Colston (Amanda) of Broken Arrow, OK. One sister Debbie Robinson and brother-in-law David. One brother Tim Hanna (Kathy). Brother in law Curtis Greenfield. She was blessed to have 4 grandchildren Kaylie, Kaitlyn, Ryan and Bryce. 8 step grandchildren Stefan, Terra, Dusty, Michelle, Tony, Jessica, Logan, and Jacey. 2 honorary grandchildren Kevin and Stoney. And 7 great grandchildren Vaeda, Everlea, Tate, Colin, Bennett, Isla, and Hudson, and numerous other family and friends. Sandy is reunited in heaven with her parents, her sister Pam Greenfield, and precious friend Shirley Rosebrough.

Sandy wanted to be remembered as two things: 1 a servant of the Lord and 2 Sparkles the Clown that brought a smile to all.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Tri-County Church of Christ. Interment will follow at I.O.O. F. Glencoe South Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
