Santos Villafranco Jr. a longtime Yale resident, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021 at his home in Yale at the age of 48.

Graveside services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, October 8, 2021 in the Lawson Cemetery with Rev. Randell Newby officiating.

Santos was born on March 3, 1973 in Port Lavaca, Texas to Santos Sr. and Alicia (Torres) Villafranco.  He grew up in Port Lavaca, TX, graduating from Port Lavaca High School.  Santos moved to Cushing in 1993 and began working for Cushing Metals.  He worked with and became acquainted with Allen Rich.  Allen introduced Santos to his sister Amber and the rest is history…  They were married on May 27, 1995 at the First United Methodist Church in Yale, Ok.  They had one daughter Alycia, born on April 4, 1999.  She preceded them in death in 2004.

Santos enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He liked fishing, playing videos and watching movies.  Santos worked for Barnett X-Ray then later for Rich's Welding Repairs.  He enjoyed repairing computers on the side.

Santos is survived by his wife Amber of the home, brothers Ruben Torres of Port Lavaca, TX, Christopher Villafranco of San Antonio, TX, sister Mary Juarez of Victoria, TX. and numerous other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, daughter Alycia Villafranco, father-in-law James Rich.
