Shannara Kay Byers was born in Tulsa, OK on July 22, 1980, to Bert and Mary Crane. She attended school in Guthrie, OK and spent the majority of her teenage years living in Agra, OK. Shannara later moved to Tulsa, OK where she met and married the love of her life (Mr. Sweetface) Jason Byers. They began their life together on July 19, 2008. To this union was born two children, Calleigh who was born sleeping and Grayson Zaine, their rainbow baby. Jason and Shannara lived in Oklahoma, later moving to Colorado, a place they both loved and enjoyed together. They returned to Oklahoma in 2017 where she passed from this life at their home in Agra on October 13, 2021.
Shannara was always a hard worker and held many different jobs throughout her youth. She especially enjoyed her time working alongside her Daddy at his place of business. Shannara had an appreciation for nice things and could always be seen with a baby on her hip. She was baptized in the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in March on 1995 by her dad in a pond outside of Sapulpa, OK. Shannara will always be remembered for her passion for cooking, love of hospitality, and care towards her friends, loved ones, and brethren.
Shannara is preceded in death by her daughter Calliegh, her father, Bert Crane; grandparents Aline Evans, Reba Barnes, Bert Sr. and Vivian Crane; Johnnie and Beverly Ritter; and her mother-in-law Carol Byers.
She is survived by her husband Jason and son Grayson Zaine of Agra, OK; her mother, Mary Crane of Agra, OK; sister Kara Wright and husband Dennis of Agra, OK; brother BJ Crane and wife Tama of Olympia, WA; brother, Jon Crane and wife Ashlee of Agra, OK; brother Cory Crane and wife Heidi of Agra, OK; her many nieces and nephews; Kayla Nance and husband Kelton; Hunter and Kadence Wright; Achaia, Breccan and Chanston Crane; Xander and Ryker Crane; Evan, Russell and Millie Crane; and Beth and Luke Winegardner; grandpa Cecil Evans and wife Frankie; father-in-law Keith Byers of Olathe, CO; brother-in-law Carl Byers of Olathe, CO; and sister-in-law Leah Byers and husband James Winegardner of Broomfield, CO; her dear friend, Stephanie Cook and a host of family, friends, and loved ones.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Parkland Cemetery.
