Sharon Earlene "DeWeese" Clark passed from this life July 10, 2021.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Highland Cemetery in Oilton, OK. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Oilton.
Sharon was born on November 1, 1945 in Miami, Oklahoma to the late Earl Monroe and Pansy Marie (Turley) DeWeese. She grew up around Barnsdall, Avant, and Pawhuska, OK, before her father moved them to Oilton. Sharon attended grade school in Dewey, OK, 9th – 11th grade at Pawhuska, and her senior year in Oilton. She met her late husband, Bobby Leon Clark, while selling tickets to her senior year donkey basketball game. Sharon told the story of how she asked if he would buy a ticket and Bobby replied, "I will buy two if you will go with me." She agreed to go. Sharon graduated from Oilton High School on May 16, 1963 and married Bobby Leon Clark on May 17, 1963. Together they had two children: Melissa Dawn Clark and Bobby Earl Clark.
Sharon traveled with Bobby as he followed the pipeline, until he went to the Army, and she stayed home. Sharon earned a Cosmetology license and worked as a hair stylist for a short time. Sharon later went to work for Dr. McAlister in Bristow then later worked for Dr. Wray in Drumright. Sharon worked insurance claims until moving to Odessa, TX in 1984. She had returned to college, studying Radiology. She had one semester left, before leaving to be with her kids through high school. Sharon also worked insurance claims at Odessa Regional Hospital, Medical Center, and Dr. Phillip Zeeck. She had opened her own business in 2006 Baby Bears Boutique LLC, selling gentle used baby clothes and equipment. Sharon closed her business in November 2013 due to her husband's declining health.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Pansy DeWeese and husband Bobby Leon Clark.
Sharon is survived by her daughter of the home, Melissa Clark of Lorena, Texas; son Bobby Clark and wife, Andrea of Waco, Texas; grandson, Jacob Clark and wife, Tamarro of Odessa; granddaughters, Alexia Clark of Lacy Lakeview, Hannah Clark of New Braumsfield, TX, Karly and Landry Clark of Waco, Texas.Sharon is also survived by four great grandchildren: Jayveon Clark, Khloe Clark of Lacy Lakeview, Kaidance Clark, and Kailane Webb of Odessa, TX.
