SHARON KAY RANDOLPH
Sharon Kay (Case) Randolph peacefully passed away on July 11, 2026. She was born in Cushing, OK on November 10, 1945, to proud parents, Johnnie and Juanita (McConnel) Case. As the only girl, she joined a family of four brothers, whom she loved dearly. She grew up in Cushing and was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn by Claude Neely in 1962. Sharon graduated from Cushing High School in 1964, where she enjoyed singing in the choir, a gift she continued to share throughout her life.
Sharon was married to Eldon Randolph for 60 years. Although Eldon was an Engineering student at OSU and Sharon was working at the OSU Post Office, they met at a wedding in Vici while she was dating Eldon’s cousin.
The start of their marriage was marked by resilience. Shortly before Eldon’s graduation in 1967, they lost their first son, Johnnie, in childbirth. After graduation, Eldon was given draft papers, and they moved to Fort Sill for four months before Eldon was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany, for 18 months. Sharon was able to join him in his final year, allowing them to travel around Germany, Austria, and Holland. Returning from the Army in 1969, Eldon was employed with the USDA Soil Conservation Service and was transferred to Marlow, and Jimmy was born in 1970. They moved on to Clinton in 1971 with Lanny joining the family a year later. The four of them moved to Guymon in 1974 and moved on to Tuttle in 1976 where their third son Casey was welcomed a year later. The family returned to Cushing in 1980 and purchased the home that would remain the Randolph family home for the rest of Sharon’s life. Their youngest son, Shane, was born the following year.
Sharon loved being a mother to her boys. She was deeply involved in supporting their activities, especially band, choir, and Special Olympics programs. From being president and treasurer of the PTA and president of band boosters, to chaperoning choir and band trips and leading fundraising campaigns to help children with special needs, Sharon lived up to the Supermom bumper sticker a friend gave her.
After growing up as the only girl among four brothers and later raising a house full of boys, Sharon was happy to welcome Angela into the family when she married Jimmy. The arrival of her first two granddaughters brought additional joy that she embraced wholeheartedly. She cherished every opportunity to spoil them and spend time with them. In later years, her two younger grandchildren filled her home with renewed energy and liveliness.
More than anything, she will be remembered for the way she welcomed and nurtured people in her life. She made it a priority to check in on those who were sick, homebound, lonely, or struggling, whether through a phone call, taking food, or a visit. Her home was a gathering place for family, friends, and countless visitors who never needed an invitation. No one ever left her table hungry. Caring for others was not simply something she did, it was at the heart of who she was.
That same caring spirit extended beyond her home through her work at Palmer Marler Funeral Home for more than 22 years, where she provided comfort and support to families during some of life's most difficult moments. She also found joy serving as a substitute teacher for nearly 15 years, touching the lives of countless students and colleagues.
As much as she was known for being caring, she was equally known for her wonderful sense of humor and spunk. She loved to laugh, tell stories, travel, and meet new people. Her legacy will live on in the love that she demonstrated every day.
Sharon was preceded in death by her first son: (Johnnie Earnest): parents (Johnnie & Juanita Case): four brothers (Kenneth & wife Mary Case), (Harold & wife Pansy Case), Glenn Case, Clifford Case, and two grandsons: (Eldon Richard & Nicholas Lee Randolph).
She is survived by her husband Eldon and son Casey of the home, and sons: Jimmy and wife Angela of Stillwater, Lanny of Bixby, and Shane of Jenks, grandchildren: Brooke & husband Wes Taylor of Cushing, Brandy and husband Kurtis Waring of Wichita, Kansas, Brennan Randolph of Stillwater, Brystol Randolph of Stillwater, sisters-in-law Carlene Case and Vickie Case, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Cushing from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
