Sharron Louise Smith, longtime Cushing resident passed from this life on November 30, 2022, at her home in Cushing surrounded by her family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

Sharron was born May 12, 1947, in Agra, Oklahoma to proud parents Harold and Elsa (Earnest) Stevens.  She moved several places growing up between Oklahoma and California. Sharron was baptized in 1967 in Tulare, California into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn by Brother Danny Smith.

On July 1, 1967, Sharron was united in marriage to the love of her life, Bud Smith in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived in California for a time before moving to Cushing, Oklahoma in 1969. There they were blessed with two children, Yavette and Cory. Sharron enjoyed crafting, sewing, and making quilts for many members of her family.  She would make thoughtful gifts and give them to family and friends. Sharron will forever be remembered by her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews that sat at her feet (laughing until they cried) to hear her funny stories told with each character having their own unique voices.

Sharron is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Harold "Buddy" Stevens, twins Debbie Royce and Durward Stevens, and infant sister Alona Sue Stevens.

She is survived by her husband of over 55 years, Bud Smith of the home; children, Yavette Farris and husband John of Lindsey, OK, and Cory Smith and April of Cushing, OK; grandchildren, Loranda Baker and husband Kurt, Kori Lewis and husband Luke, and Karson Smith; great grandchildren, Wesley and Ethan Baker; sisters, Mona Lybarger, Tawanna Partridge, and Sonja Billingsley and husband Marty, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Parkland Cemetery in Agra, Oklahoma.
