Sherry Lee Burnette, age 58 of Cushing, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Cushing Regional Hospital. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Chapel of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

Sherry grew up in Carlsbad, New Mexico and graduated from high school in 1971. She was a secretary for a number of years. Sherry lived in numerous places before settling in
Cushing in June of 2009. After moving to Cushing, she worked as a prison guard. Sherry loved being with her family, her favorite holiday was the 4th of July. She enjoyed scrap booking, fishing, and listening to her brother play music. She loved spending time her with grandchildren, and recently was able to spend time with her firstborn grandson.

Sherry is survived by her son Larry Burnette Jr. and wife Amanda of Carlsbad, N.M., daughter Trina Smith of West Palm Beach, Fl., brother Robert Graham and wife Audrey of Waggoner, sister Dianne Paxton and husband Mike of Yale, grandchildren Samantha Shepherd, Megan Smith, Hunter Cunningham, Josiah Cunningham and Liam Burnette, and numerous nieces and nephews.
