Obituary

Steven Glen Richardson, born December 30, 1953 in Garden Grove, California, went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2026.

He was the son of Roy Lee Richardson and Norma Jean Pittser, both of whom preceded him in death. Steven served his country with honor in the United States Army, leading with integrity, steadiness, and a deep sense of responsibility. His service shaped the discipline and strength that carried him through the rest of his life.

Steven made his home in Cushing, Oklahoma, where he built a life rooted in faith, family, and the simple joys that brought him peace. He had a natural wit that showed up at just the right moment, and he loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and the stillness where he felt closest to God. His faith was sincere and lived out in the way he cared for others and the way he carried himself through every season of life.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda McCoy, his brother, Randy Richardson, and his eldest son, Cristopher McCoy.

Steven is survived by his son, Patrick Richardson, and Patrick's wife, Alicia. He leaves behind his siblings Curtis Richardson, Dean Richardson, and Darla Echevarria. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Kaitlyn Nelson and her husband, Ryan, Johnny Richardson, Colton McCoy, and Jeremiah McCoy, along with several great grandchildren who brought him pride and joy.

Steven's life was a testament to strength, devotion, and faith. Those who knew him will carry his humor, his gentleness, and his unwavering belief in God's goodness. We take comfort in knowing he is at peace and welcomed into the arms of the Savior he trusted.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."

2 Timothy 4:7
