Steven Gene Wood, a longtime Cushing resident, passed from this life on November 21, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones.

Steve was born on March 6, 1953 to Valton and Reba (Crow) Wood, he was one of four siblings.  Steve grew up and graduated from Cushing in 1971.  He married the love of his life, Barbara Butler on August 10, 1972 and to this union, three children were born, Stefanie, Jennifer and Charlie.   He worked with his family at Eagle Pump and Supply, retiring on March 5, 2018.   Steve loved watching the OKC Thunder and never missed a game.  Steve loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.    He also enjoyed spending the days with his best friend Ellie.  Steve will be missed by his family and friends.

Steve is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Wood, three children; Stefanie Wood and Matt Moore of Big Spring, Tx, Jennifer Watkins and husband, Brad of Stillwater, Ok, Charlie Wood and wife, Vicki of Cushing, Ok, mother; Reba Wood, seven grandchildren; Cale Music, Taylor Music, Gavin Wood, Peyton Wood, Gage Watkins, Logan Watkins, Dalani Watkins, one great-granddaughter; Reagan Wood, his beloved dog and best friend; Ellie, three brothers; Kenny, Rick and Joe as well as many nieces and nephews.

Steve is preceded in death by his father Valton, his grandparents and niece Stacy Wood.
