Terry Leon Sewell passed from this life on Thursday, January 11, 2024, in Tulsa, OK with family by his side at the age of 76.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Crossroads Community Church with Pastor Mike Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Lawson Cemetery.
Terry was born on December 17, 1947, to Clara Crutchfield and Marion Sewell in Hutchinson, Kansas. Terry attended school in Hutchinson, graduating from Hutchinson High School in 1966. After high school, Terry attended Hutchinson Junior college for a couple months. While in college, Terry worked for the local Amusement Park. He then joined the United States Naval Reserve. He served proudly for 2 years, before being honorably discharged due to medical reasons.
Terry began working at numerous Cola plants, including Pepsi, Coca-Cola, and RC Cola. He later finished his career as a supervisor at Farm Fresh.
Terry met the love of his life, Belva and married her on January 17, 2000, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cushing. Together they shared their love for Christ. He was a devoted Christian. His family meant everything to him, especially his Belva.
In his free time, Terry was a collector. He would collect baseball cards and movies. He kept them organized and would love to share his collections with his family. Terry loved to watch his Texas Rangers and was so happy he saw them win the World Series this year. Terry also had an artistic eye. He would spend hours in his adult coloring book, making the art come alive. He had an eye for all different shades of the entire color spectrum. When it was spring, you could find Terry outside taking in God's beauty and colors.
Terry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jim and Craig Sewell; one sister, Patricia Sawaya.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Belva; nine children: Shawna, Mindy, Amber, Missy Ann, Bill, John, Iva, Keith, and Mark. Terry is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
