Obituary

On the 21 st day of the 21 st year of the 21 st Century (01/21/2021) the lord issued a great woman her wings.

Tommye Flo Thompson (Mom, Nana, Mimi, Momma T) was born on December 11, 1935 in Seminole, OK to parents Thomas Leroy Frankfother and Viola Lucille (Oliver) Frankfother. She married the love of her life Carlos Howard Thompson on June 19, 1953.

She worked as a nurse in Oklahoma City until she was expecting her second child and became a full-time mother and housewife. Her passion for Conservation earned her recognition when she received a Presidential Commendation for her Conservations efforts. She had a true love for the outdoors and fishing and spent most of her free time fishing in ponds and lakes with her kids in tow in playpens or with fishing poles in hand.  She loved to write short stories and had several published in Fishing and Hunting magazines as well as local newspapers. But she will always be remembered for her love of children and her family. She was a true caregiver for everyone she met. She opened her home and heart to so many over the years and gave them unconditional love, food, shelter and taught them about life.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Thomas and Viola Frankfother; siblings Arlan Bryan Frankfother, and Janet Elaine Johnson; grandchild Thomas Kye Thompson; nephew Richard Bryan Frankfother.

She is survived by her husband Carlos Thompson of the home; her children Rocky Thompson and wife Ronda of Yale, Hele Thompson and husband Steve Alley of Yale, Zan Thompson and wife Carol of Yale, and Pooh Ware and husband Lonnie of Pershing; sibling Anita A.(Sis) Wade of Cushing; grandchildren Bill Thompson, Scott Thompson, Mandi Thompson, Dusti Thompson; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of honorary kids.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Lawson Cemetery, Yale, Oklahoma.
