Virgil Charles Dupee Jr passed from this life in his home with his family by his side on April 4, 2023.
Virgil was the only child born to Virgil Sr and Pearl (Snyder) Dupee in St Clair, Michigan. Virgil grew up in East Detroit where he graduated from high school. From there he joined the Army and served in the Korean War. After he returned home, he worked at National Airlines in Washington D.C. for 5 years before returning to East Detroit. On his return, he found and married his beautiful wife of 57 years, Kathleen Ryan in January 1966. To their union were born three children: Lisa, David and Jonathan.
Virgil and Kathleen spent more than 40 years owning the American Hearing Aid Center and Integrity Hearing Aid in Oilton, Oklahoma where they served their community. They attended Oilton Christ Fellowship and spent their life in service to their Lord. When Virgil wasn't tending to his business and taking care of his family, he enjoyed his time traveling across the country on his motorcycle with Kathleen as his faithful rider. When it was time to retire from riding the motorcycle, he still enjoyed the open road in his convertible.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents and his son David Charles Dupee.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen, his daughter, Lisa Marie Favalora and her husband John, his son Jonathan Dupee and his wife Sharleen; five grandchildren, Christian Favalora and wife Sara, Brianna Brown and husband Chris, AnneMarie Favalora, Jenna Dupee and Madison Dupee; and two great-grandchildren Brentley and Aspen Pearl Brown along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and neighbors. Virgil will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be from 3PM to 8PM at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Oilton, Oklahoma on Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7. Funeral services will be at 2PM on Monday, April 10 at New Life Ministries in Oilton, Oklahoma with interment at Highland Cemetery.
