Obituary

Virginia Elayne Reed a longtime Agra resident, passed away on March 28, 2019 in V.A. Nursing Home in Winfield, KS after a lengthy illness at the age of 68.

Graveside services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Parkland Cemetery, Parkland, Ok.    Brother Scott Heddleston officiating.

Virginia was born on September 22, 1950 in Tulare, California, the daughter of the late Russell and Beulah (Hoover) Romine.  She was one of ten children born into the Romine family.  She grew up in California and moved to Agra where she graduated from Agra High School.    After high school, she became reacquainted, fell in love and on September 19, 1969 married her childhood sweetheart Redgie Reed.  Together Redgie and Virginia had two children, Kathy Marie and Matthew Dwayne.   Redgie and Virginia made their home in Tonkawa, OK. Prior to living in Tonkawa they had lived in the Agra and Cushing areas.   Virginia enjoyed riding in the truck with her husband.  She liked to cook, garden, sew and read.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Matthew Dwayne Reed and Kathy Marie Reed, siblings Russell Dwayne Romine and Juanita Fern Romine.

She is survived by her siblings Sherlie Britton of Agra, Carla Phipps of Comanche, Lovis Blackburn of Stillwater, Patricia Romine of Cleveland, Pam Romine of Agra, Darrell Romine of Stillwater, Loyd Romine of Stillwater and many nieces and nephews.
