Obituary

William Albert Lawson II, "Billy" loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend left this earth on November 22, 2022, at the age of 60. His care has been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma.

Billy was born on July 25th, 1962, in Savannah Georgia to William and Colleen Lawson. He was a southern boy through and through. His family relocated many times for his father's Air Force service, before finally settling in Yale, OK.
It was in Yale, he started his own family with his wife Tina, and the close support of his parents and siblings. Together, they raised 3 children Codie, Little Billy, and Shelbie.

Billy worked hard his whole life through many ups and downs to provide for his family. He remained kind and loyal throughout his life. If you needed help, Billy was there.

He loved doing anything outdoors, cooking for others, fixing cars, making models, and woodworking. He was a creative spirit who was always planning his next adventure and project.

The greatest joys of his life were his grandchildren James, Autumn, and Lily. He was the proudest Papa and spoiling them rotten was his goal. James and Papa enjoyed magnet fishing and making models together. Autumn and Papa loved making their favorite dish Taco Salad. Lily's favorite place to be was on Papa's lap, and trying to steal his hat.

He is preceded in death by his wife Tina, son Billy, parents William and Colleen, siblings Janice Sue and Deb. He is survived by his children Codie and husband Chester, Shelbie and husband Richard, siblings Eveline Vann and Ronald Lawson, his grandchildren James, Autumn and Lily, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and chosen family.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Yale with Brother Mich Dershem officiating. Interment will follow at Glencoe South Cemetery in Glencoe Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for friends and family to share their favorite memories, or small donations made to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home to assist with the funeral and medical expenses.
